For me, magic has never just been about tricks. It's about creating moments people remember.
The Beginning
Magic has been part of Rich's life for as long as he can remember.
As a teenager, Rich's older brother was fascinated by magic and would constantly practise new tricks on him. Every new idea, every new sleight and every new routine was tested on a young Rich before anyone else ever saw it.
When his brother eventually moved away from Bristol, Rich asked for permission to carry on the family tradition. The deal was simple: learn a few tricks, perform them properly and earn his blessing.
Rich did exactly that.
The Journey
What started as performing for friends, family and house parties gradually grew into weddings, corporate events and private celebrations before eventually leading to a life-changing audition at Bristol's famous Illusions magic bar.

Despite being incredibly nervous, Rich passed his audition and spent more than a decade entertaining audiences and learning from fellow performers.

Today
When Illusions evolved into Smoke & Mirrors, Rich made the move from close-up performances to the stage.
More than ten years later, he remains a resident performer, entertaining audiences with a unique blend of comedy, audience participation and impossible magic.
Recognition
Rich achieved another personal milestone by becoming an M.M.C (Member of The Magic Circle) — a proud moment and recognition of the years of dedication he has given to the art of magic.
The Magic Circle is widely regarded as the world's most famous magical society and membership is considered one of the highest honours within the profession.
Philosophy
For Rich, however, the secret has always been simple.
That sense of joy, laughter and shared experience sits at the heart of every performance, whether he's entertaining a theatre audience, a wedding reception, a corporate event or a private celebration.
